Haworth Wartime weekend

Chipping Steam Fair
25th to 27th May at Green Lane Showground, Chipping PR3 2TQ the annual CHipping Steam Fair will be held. The military section is arranged through Jim Ashcroft and Ken Marle in our group. See http://www.chippingsteamfair.com/ for more details and a booking form.
East Lancs Railway

A number of brave souls are going to Normandy on the 29th May returning on the 11th June. There will be a stopover on each leg of the journey at Tewkesbury. If you have not booked already you may be too late. Contact Jim Ashcroft if you want further details.
Country Fest, Crooklands
1st and 2nd June at Crooklands, north of Lancaster, part of the Westmorland Show known as Country Fest will be held. Good food, and plenty to see at this show. MVs will be welcome but give notice that you are coming. See https://westmorlandshow.co.uk/country-fest/ for details.
Myerscough College Open Day
We have been invited to put on a display of vehicles at the Myerscough College open day on the 6th of June. Ian McCormack will act as liaison point with the college if anyone wants to put their name forward to attend.
Scorton Steam Fair
15th and 16th June at Woodacre Farm, Gubberford Lane, Scorton PR3 1BN the annual Scorton Steam Fair will be held. There is a military vehicle section under the control of our own Ian Coates. Look at http://www.scortonsteam.co.uk/ for details and booking forms.
Wartime in the Vale

Oxenholme Crank Up
Our crank up in the north of the area will be held on the 22/23 June at the Station Hotel in Oxenholme.
St Helen's Armed Forces Day
To be held on the 22nd Jun. Here is what the invitation from Dean McGauley says. "I am organising this years St.Helens Armed Forces Day which will be held on Saturday 22nd June at Victoria Park, St.Helens, WA10 2UE. The event started in the morning with a grand parade of Armed Forces Past, Present and Future and was followed by a programme of events. These included Army Displays from local Merseyside and Manchester Regiments, Military Vehicles , Military Bands, Vintage Military Vehicles, Stalls, Funfair and Climbing Wall. Throughout the day there was also a full programme of musical performances at the Victoria Park Bandstand. Armed Forces Day
Numerous locations around the North West are holding a day of celebration during the week from 22nd to 29th June. Tony Martin provided some more details for some. Kendal are planning theirs on the 23rd June to be held at the Market Square from 10:00 to 15:30. Saturday 29th June Morecambe hold theirs on the prom opposite the Winter Gardens. Fylde Vintage and Farm Show
29th and 30th June are the dates for this show. It seems to be popular amongst our members so give it a try. Details are here https://www.fyldevintageandfarmshow.co.uk/
29-30 June near to Southport http://www.leisurelakes.co.uk/ will be holding a Steam event, but MVs are welcome. Pop along and have a look.
Yorkshire Wartime Experience
5th to 7th July at Hunsworth Lane, Hunsworth, BD4 6RN. Full details can be found at http://ywe-event.info/. This is one of the largest shows in the UK, and must be the largest in the North of England. A real mix of vehicles and attractions means you need will need two days to see it all. The event is spread over several fields so take your walking boots. Camping for tents, caravans and motorhomes is available.
Ingleton Wartime event
5-7th July are the dates for the Ingleton Wartime weekend. Set in the beautiful town of Ingleton this event has been a favourite for many years. Church Inn Wartime weekend
At the Church Inn, Uppermill on the 20th and 21st July, a friendly gathering of re-enactors and vehicle owners enjoy a drink, food and a dance. Camping is avaialble. RIAT (Royal InternationaAir Tattoo)

Lacock at War

Lytham War weekend
17th - 18th August on the Green at Lytham on the Fylde Coast there will be a wartime weekend held. This event is growing in popularity with a mix of vehicles and reanactors from the past, but more specifically the World War 2 years. Military vehicles of all ages are welcome. Contact Ian Coates in our group for booking details. Camping is allowed but only military tents on the main display area. Modern tents, motor homes and caravans have theri own allocated space.

Whitby War Weekend

The Victory Show is a mixture of aircraft and military displays held in Leicestershire. Held on 6th to 8th September, details can be found at https://www.thevictoryshow.co.uk though my browser says the site is unsafe and refuses to let me connect. You may have more luck.

Embsay Railway 1940s event
To be held on the 6th and 7th September, this small historic railway system invites us to attend the event with our vehicles to join in their festivities. Grassington 1940s Weekend
13 - 15th September this small town goes back to the 40s with military vehicles parked in the town square and encampments in the nearby car park. Plenty to see, and if the fish fryer is on top form, plenty of scraps for with your chips. See http://www.grassington1940sweekend.co.uk/ for details.
