Saracen Restoration

Our Secretary, Tony, is a fan of British vehicles. Having restored two Daimler scout cars, he has now turned his attention to a couple of larger  British vehicles. On this page I'll concentrate on the Saracen Armoured Car. A separate page contains details of the second vehicle, a Humber Pig. The photos tell their own before and after stories, but as I get updates from Tony himself, I'll add more to the description.

To start with some basic shots of the outside part way through a respray.

Inside the passenger section also gets a new lick of paint.

As does the drivers compartment. A tidy up of the wiring harness and switches improves things.

29/4/05 I received some more pictures. These show the advances made on restoring the bodywork and painting the underside.

9/11/05 I have received pictures of the finished article. The Humber that Tony was renovating has now been sold and a new project acquired. Watch out for pictures of that project is due course.
